Sovereign defense,
built in the Gulf.
A UAE- and Bahrain-anchored defense and technology enterprise, developing, manufacturing and deploying sovereign-grade capability across military technology, naval systems, artificial intelligence and satellite communications.
One mission.
Four companies.
GRIM GROUP holds majority ownership across four specialised subsidiaries — each addressing a distinct, critical domain of national security and strategic infrastructure, launching simultaneously as one unified strategic partner.
The Group's flagship — and the face of its defense mission. Counter-drone interceptors and force-protection systems, starting with the Gyr interceptor and Reaper loitering munition, built for cost superiority and rapid fielding.
The Group's maritime arm — maritime surveillance and force protection for Gulf waters, scaling toward shipbuilding, radar, and unmanned undersea systems across the Arabian Gulf, Red Sea and Gulf of Oman.
The intelligence layer — sovereign, military-first AI for threat classification, command decision support and autonomous coordination, embedded across every GRIM GROUP platform.
The connective tissue — sovereign, resilient satellite communications and internet, serving governments, enterprises and consumers from a single regionally controlled provider.
Built to win the cost war.
Modern conflict is decided by economics as much as engineering. GRIM DEFENSE's systems are designed to defeat expensive threats with affordable, mass-producible effects.
Gyr
A 3D-printed, mass-manufacturable interceptor engineered to defeat Shahed-class one-way attack drones — delivering a decisive economic advantage over the threats it destroys.
Reaper
A precision-strike loitering system providing organic, deep-reach effects for land forces — built for affordability at the scale modern operations demand.
Targets detected
in real time.
ALALA AI reads live satellite imagery to identify and classify high-value targets the moment they appear — turning raw overhead intelligence into actionable, machine-speed awareness for commanders.
- Continuous satellite-imagery analysis — no human watch-cycle dependency.
- Automatic detection and classification of installations and assets.
- High-value target identification fused across the GRIM platform.
The Gulf's defense base, founded now.
Whether you are a government, a sovereign investor, or an engineer ready to build sovereign capability — there is a place for you at GRIM.
A defense house
for the region.
GRIM GROUP — Gulf Region Integrated Military Group — exists to build sovereign defense and strategic capability from within the Gulf: sovereign in ownership, regional in manufacturing, global in ambition.
The Gulf must not depend on foreign procurement chains for its most critical defense and strategic infrastructure needs.
GRIM GROUP operates as a parent entity holding majority ownership in four specialised subsidiaries — GRIM DEFENSE, GRIM MARINE, ALALA AI and THEIA TELECOMMUNICATIONS. All four are in the pre-incorporation phase and will launch simultaneously, presenting governments and investors with a single, comprehensive strategic partner rather than a collection of fragmented vendors.
Beyond defense, the Group is built to diversify the regional economy — generating long-term revenue and strengthening the case for a resilient, post-oil industrial base.
Our mission
To build and sustain sovereign defense and technology capability across the Gulf — reducing foreign dependency, accelerating indigenous development, and projecting Gulf-origin defense excellence to allied markets worldwide.
Our vision
A Gulf region that leads its own defense, intelligence and communications future — where governments operate with full strategic autonomy, backed by world-class, domestically produced technology that answers to no foreign authority.
Crown jewel of Arab industry
Starting with drones and interceptors, GRIM DEFENSE is built to become the region's leading manufacturer of military systems — a permanent shift in the Gulf's defense-industrial sovereignty.
Built by conviction.
Hasan Ali Hasan
Hasan Ali Hasan is a Bahraini defense entrepreneur and the founder and CEO of GRIM GROUP and its four subsidiaries. Holding a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, he pairs a technical foundation with a deep strategic understanding of the Gulf's defense requirements, threat environment and industrial ambitions.
He conceived GRIM GROUP in response to a specific, urgent gap in the Gulf's defense posture: the absence of a sovereign, cost-competitive, regionally manufactured counter-drone capability at a time when the Shahed drone threat was escalating into a sustained strategic campaign. Rather than accept continued dependence on foreign suppliers, he set out to build the answer from within the region.
Institutional by design.
GRIM is being built inside the region's defense institutions — aligning with national priorities from day one.
Primary HQ
Primary headquarters and manufacturing anchor under the Tawazun Economic Council, at Tawazun Industrial Park, Abu Dhabi.
Co-founding jurisdiction
Bahrain HQ — anchoring the Kingdom's commitment to a sovereign regional defense industry and serving as the Group's research and development base.
Conditional — allied gateway
A planned third incorporation, contingent on concluding strategic partnership discussions with allies in NATO — opening access to European and allied markets.
The Gulf should build
what defends it.
A Gulf region that leads its own defense, intelligence and communications future — operating with full strategic autonomy, backed by world-class technology produced at home.
For too long the region has imported the capability it could create. GRIM exists to close that gap — permanently.
The drone era rewrote the rules of deterrence. Cheap, attritable systems now threaten assets worth thousands of times more, and defending against them with legacy economics is unsustainable.
GRIM's answer is industrial: design for additive manufacture, build at home, and field affordable effects in volume — wrapped in a complete sovereign stack of defense, naval, AI and connectivity capability.
What we stand on.
Sovereignty first
All technology developed, manufactured and controlled within the region — owned by the nations that depend on it.
Integrated capability
Four subsidiaries designed to operate independently and in full concert — one data fabric across effects, sea, intelligence and space.
Speed of deployment
3D-printed and modular systems enabling rapid fielding at scale — requirements to fielded systems in months, not decades.
Cost superiority
Engineered to outperform foreign alternatives on both price and effectiveness — winning the cost exchange of modern war.
Allied reach
GCC primacy established first, then expansion to the UK, US, France and broader allied markets.
Economic diversification
A diverse defense-industrial portfolio driving long-term revenue and a resilient, post-oil economy.
How we scale.
UAE & Bahrain
Primary anchor market for all four subsidiaries upon incorporation — establishing manufacturing, R&D and first sovereign deployments.
GCC + NATO allies
Expansion across the GCC and into NATO allied markets — France, the UK, Poland and Germany — with quarterly investor dividends commencing.
All allied markets
Full deployment across allied markets — UAE, GCC, the EU and the United States — as a complete sovereign capability stack.
Capability,
end to end.
Four subsidiaries spanning the threats, domains and infrastructure that define regional security — each a specialist, all integrated.
Counter-drone systems and force protection. Home of the Gyr interceptor and Reaper loitering munition, scaling toward becoming the region's leading manufacturer of military equipment.
Maritime surveillance and force protection, scaling toward shipbuilding, radar systems and unmanned undersea platforms securing Gulf sea lanes.
Threat classification, command decision support, maritime intelligence and communications resilience — sovereign, military-first AI embedded across the Group.
Sovereign, resilient satellite communications and internet across government, enterprise and consumer markets — the Group's largest addressable market.
The hardware.
Gyr
The flagship system — a 3D-printed interceptor purpose-built to defeat Shahed-class attack drones with overwhelming economic advantage.
Reaper
Organic, deep-reach precision effects for land forces — affordable at the scale that distributed, modern operations demand.
Build the systems
that matter.
We are assembling a founding team of engineers, operators and builders to stand up a sovereign defense base from the ground up. If that is the work you want, we want to hear from you.
